Activist Lodges Report Against TYT Sabah

SANDAKAN, SABAH – An independent Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) activist here has lodged a police report against Sabah Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin at Sandakan Town police station on Wednesday.

In his police report, the activist had claimed that Tun Juhar had deliberately delayed the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister position for Tan Sri Musa Aman which was postponed three times with intention.

The activist also urged police to investigate an allegation saying that Tun Juhar had privately met several elected representatives of Barisan Nasional (BN) which has signed the agreement to form a government led by Musa in order to switch allegiance to Parti Warisan Sabah.

He said, if the event was true, police should take legal action based on relevant Acts towards Tun Juhar.

The activist claimed that, being the Head of State, Tun Juhar should be neutral in his decision rather than favoring any political party.

He added, such actions may result in public distrust and disorder as Musa also have many loyal followers.

On May 10th, Musa who is also Sabah BN chairman was sworn in as chief minister of  Sabah before Juhar after obtaining simple majority when two opposition assemblyman declared support for Sabah BN.

However, two days later, Parti Warisan Sabah president, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal had sworn in as the new chief minister when several BN assemblyman switches allegiance to Warisan.
