KUDAT, SABAH – The Barisan Nasional (BN) government will be spending RM 21 million to extend the water piping system to Kampung Parapat Laut, Kampung Limau-Limauan, Kampung Milau and Kampung Malaman, said Minister of Special Tasks Datuk Seri Panglima Teo Chee Kang.
Teo, who is also Tanjong Kapor Assemblyman, said that in a dialogue with the leaders and villagers at Kampung Parapat Laut on the water supply plan to be carried out in the four villages here recently.
Also present were Sabah State Water Department director Datuk Wilis Ansoi, Tanjong Kapor Assemblyman Datuk Peter Chin, State Water Department officers, consultants and local community leaders.
Teo said he has met with an official from the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKLW) in Putrajaya recently where he urged the ministry to expedite the tender process for the water supply project.
“The issue of water supply at the four villages will be resolved once the project is completed,” he said.
He said the implementation of the water supply project showed that the BN was a people-centric government.
Hence, Teo ruged the people to continue to give their mandate to BN in the coming 14th General Election (GE14) to enable the coalition to implement more development programmes for the rakyat.
