KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (PAN) has blasted UMNO Deputy President Datuk Zahid Hamidi for publicly insulting a senior Sabah KDM Momogun leader who is also a senior member of the BN coalition in Sabah.
Its President Datuk Henrynus Amin said the party and himself are disappointed by the antics of UMNO leaders who seemed to think they have the right to publicly humiliate Sabah political leaders.
He said it was obvious UMNO has a very low opinion of PBS especially Datuk Sri Panglima Dr Maximus J Ongkili who is PBS Acting President increasingly seen as a political liability to Barisan Nasional.
“But publicly humiliating Dr Maximus who is a Senior KDM Momogun BN leader is not going down very well with most Sabahans,” he said.
“Regardless of our feeling for PBS, we think Sabah BN political leaders should not be subjected to such high handed, paternalistic and humiliating treatment by UMNO leaders in front of their own people.”
We therefore urged PBS members and supporters to reconsider their support for BN in the light of insulting remarks by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zahid Hamidi against PBS and DSP Dr Maximus J Ongkili.
He said PBS members and supporters should just leave BN and join Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri to fight for unity, dignity and rights of Anak Negeri Sabah as firstborn.
“We urge all PBS branches and divisions to voluntarily dissolve and join the opposition ranks enmass to register their protest and discontent.”
Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri welcome all PBS members or for that matter any BN supporters who feel humiliated and disappointed to come home.
